Why are you a game dev?

Ever since I was a kind playing games I always wanted to make my own game. Not only programming but the art and audio. When I got older I studied web development and make some very simple crappy games. However hard I tried I never got into it until a few years ago when I decied to put more time into it. Still I can only make very simple games as I am older and still don't have a lot of time. Working a full time job along with doing the art and audio. Being a solo dev is very hard work. If you don't put in the time you wont get very far. It's hard to make something good. That's why studios have tons of teams and people to get their games done even with 5 years.

Game development is harder than web development. It's creating whole worlds and simulations with unlimited rules.

Why do you play video games all the time?

Playing video games is seen as a negative thing in some people's perspective. It takes people attention away from personal human contact. Families suffer from neglect from people always playing video games.

Some people are so offended by it that they assume you must be crazy or less of a person if you are not socially adept. There are all kinds of people extrovert and introvert. They cannot truely understand one another. However a person can still not be judgemental or try to fit others into their perspective. It's called letting people get into their own hobbies and staying out of their business.
